View this post on Instagram Transformation Tuesday! . This is why weight doesn’t always matter. On the left, I had been fasting for one year. I was down 98 pounds from my starting weight and never thought in a million years I would be down to 138 pounds! Over the next couple of months, I would lose about 10 more, making me the the slimmest I had ever been... but... I had NO muscle! And I felt... like something was missing. So I started lifting weights and alternating it with my cardio. On the right, 2 1/2 years of intermittent fasting has helped me maintain and change my body in more ways that I thought imaginable. . Sure, I’m not 138 pounds anymore, but my waist is smaller 💁🏻♀️, my arms can carry more 💪🏻, my 🍑 is growing and my legs are STRONG 🦵🏻! Even my loose skin has changed, as I burn fat and gain muscle! (Autophagy works!) . So really, there comes a part in your journey where you have to decide. Do you want to stay slim? Or do you want to get strong? I obviously chose the latter, and everyday, even though I may have a mental battle, thinking I should be a smaller number to be “worthy” (I mean, that’s what we are taught, from what I’ve always understood), I have to remind myself, I’ve come a long way and every step in my journey has been for the better. (Even though I really need summer to come back so I can get a tan on 😂) . . #normalizenormalbodies . .
