Once upon a time there was a girl who thought she was too far gone. She was broken into so many pieces that she never thought she could be happy again. She was sick. She was ruled by her anxiety and depression.⠀ ⠀ She tried every diet. She would get so excited and go all in...but never could last over a week or two. Then she would fall off-and HARD. Regaining anything she had worked so hard to lose...and then some.⠀ ⠀ Then she had weight loss surgery. Everyone loses weight with surgery...right??? But she soon discovered that nothing would work until she decided to work on her heart. Her habits never changed. She just found new ways to eat her feelings...and the weight started coming back on.⠀ ⠀ That girl was me. And I was in need of a TOTAL transformation of heart, mind, body, and spirit. I was willing to do the HARD work...but was avoiding the HEART work, and it was keeping me stuck.⠀ ⠀ Once I focused on all parts of my transformation, the rest was history.⠀ ⠀ Someone asked me the other day why I am so on FIRE about helping others lose weight. My answer was simple: I lost the weight...and I was still unhappy with my life. I had to do the heart work, or I was bound to put it right back on like I always had before.⠀ ⠀ The bottom line is this: most diets are work. Most workouts are good. It’s our ability to stick to anything long-term that fails us every single time.
